Сугестопедията е призната от ЮНЕСКО за оригинална образователна система още през 1978 година, започвайки своето развитие от науката сугестология повече от десетилетие по-рано. Тя представлява комбинация между педагогика, психология и изкуство.

Създадена е от българския учен, психиатър и педагог проф. д-р Георги Лозанов и е експериментирана и развита от екип изследователи и преподаватели в ръководения от него научно-изследователски институт по сугестология в периода 1966-1991.

Introduction

Six months have already elapsed since I first saw England. I love its mysteries andlonely misty mornings. I have been living and working in my grandmother’s house for the last two months. I managed to find enough money to restore it. Christopher and Simon Merry helped me with all the formalities.

Mr. Mask was in charge of supervising the restoration. Peter and Sir Geoffrey organized the furnishing of the other rooms. Sir Geoffrey decided to move to the house.

Mr. and Mrs. Merry have brought plenty of books on Art, Biology, Literature, Ethnography, and Ethnology for our Library. Mrs. Merry has made a few inquiries on the possibility to set up a laboratory in the house.

Dolly is shining. Freedom becomes her. Her independent disposition is visible in all her gracious movements, gentle gestures and witty words. Her eyes glow with contentment.

I have already started my studies. I chose to major in English and American literature and Drama and minor in Science. Why have art and science been separated? I can hear my granny’s voice: “It has not always been so, Emily. The separation of philosophy and science has brought a lot of confusion into the
human lives.”

I close my eyes. I wish my granny were here. Her spirit is everywhere in this house.

I feel at home and yet...
